We were hoping February would be our month…..Finally….We have been waiting since our cancelled cycle in December but alas it wasn’t meant to be this month……again
Dr. S (our RE) was dead set he wanted me to do a HSG Test (he wanted to make sure there was no fluid leaking from my tubes as this could have caused my December miscarriage) and since you can’t do this test in the same cycle as a FET our hands were tied…..and so we wait.
When I got up yesterday morning and it was calling for a high of 17C/63F I was pretty excited to say the least!
Definitely a run outside was in order!
I have been given to go ahead to do some “light” workouts!
Well I will tell you!
Ok….well it’s two of my favorite things….but still!
Almost 4 weeks of no working out can make a girl nuts!!!!
No effin kidding!
This no working out thing SUCKS!
Pair that with being off work for a couple weeks……..
Ok….So I finished my National Peace Officer Memorial run about 2 weeks ago…..110KM in 54 Hours!
Yeah not too bad!
After a couple days I was 100% and ready to get out for a rip!……..
But there was just one problem……..
I am not ALLOWED to run for the next 8 weeks!
UGH……So this is mostly why I haven’t blogged much in the past two weeks because I am really struggling with what to do…..This (for the most part) is a Running and Fitness blog…….well running/weights/healthy recipes/and some events ect…….but Running and fitness are my main focus and I don’t want to change this so I am not going to get all off track with my side story here. I just want to say that I have not “quit” running I am just not Medically able to be running/working out right now………And won’t be able to until the end of November! It has only been 2 weeks and I am going crazy already!
So now that I have explained myself I feel better! I am going to continue with healthy recipes/events as per usual for now!
I will be really focusing on my nutrition and clean eating for the next bit, especially not being able to run…….For some reason I always feel better about a treat when I am running 50-60KM a week……..
No running=No crap eating!
After Day 1-running 40KM, I thought I would be sore on the morning of Day 2, but I woke up feeling great and excited to run! I was the most excited about this day of running because I would be running through areas that I grew up in. Plus my Mom would be joining me for a couple KM through Kingston!
My only “issue” would appear to be not drinking enough on Day 1 + Taking salt pills= One puffy face!
I wasn’t sure what to do for these last few runs (Thursday, Friday and Sunday)….The NPOMR is only 1 week away!
I was going to a 17K, and 2 10K’s…then I thought maybe a 20K a 5K and a 10K….I ended up deciding on 2 15K’S and a 10K on Sunday…….
Just pay attention….it isn’t that difficult!
One of the biggest challenges I have always had with my long runs is carrying enough water/liquid……I used to wear a hydration belt but I HATED it!
Soooooo annoying……So I found this hand held stainless steel water bottle from lulu lemon a couple years ago and have been using it ever since but, It only holds about 600ML of liquid…..
