18 days until the National Peace Officers Memorial Run!
I worked all weekend…….Gross
Friday 6-6 and Saturday-Sunday 7-7
Ugh….You are telling me!
Friday was a rest day but I needed to do 5KM both Saturday and Sunday……Kinda hard at work on the weekends to get out and do that……
But where there is a will there is a way!
You would think after 10 years of running I would have gotten the hang of it by now!!!!!
Today….one of the hottest days of the year……
Why not run 8.5 miles at noon…..
It freaking sucked all right!
This week was a big win on the clean eating and training. I got in all my runs, as planned and met all my nutrition goals.
Well not quite…….
Even though I got all my runs in, Friday’s 6.5KM and Saturday’s 8KM run were absolutely the worst! I had ZERO energy, “heavy legs”, and the SLOWEST pace I have ran in a long long time!
Have I mentioned yet that I LOVE Summer!!!
I thought so……
I think I finally did it!
It only took 4 years……..
Here is a super delish Smoothie….Great for Pre-Run!
- 1 scoop vanilla protein (your choice, I use plant based but whey is fine if you have it)
- 1 Tablespoon Natural Peanut Butter
- 1 small Banana
- 1 teaspoon Chia Seeds
- 1 Tablespoon cacao nibs
- 1 Cup Unsweetened Cashew Milk (or any non-dairy milk)
Blend until smooth
Cacao Nibs are great for pre workout…….

So friggin good!

Monday morning we were up nice and early…..I even managed to convince Shane to come for a quick 5 K run with me!
Kelly asked if I wanted to come to the new Minion Movie with her and my Goddaughter Eva (She is 4)
