Say it ain’t so!!!!

Ok….So I finished my National Peace Officer Memorial run about 2 weeks ago…..110KM in 54 Hours!

Yeah not too bad!

After a couple days I was 100% and ready to get out for a rip!……..

But there was just one problem……..

UGH……So this is mostly why I haven’t blogged much in the past two weeks because I am really struggling with what to do…..This (for the most part) is a Running and Fitness blog…….well running/weights/healthy recipes/and some events ect…….but Running and fitness are my main focus and I don’t want to change this so I am not going to get all off track with my side story here. I just want to say that I have not “quit” running I am just not Medically able to be running/working out right now………And won’t be able to until the end of November! It has only been 2 weeks and I am going crazy already!

So now that I have explained myself I feel better! I am going to continue with healthy recipes/events as per usual for now!

Ok ok…….

I will be really focusing on my nutrition and clean eating for the next bit, especially not being able to run…….For some reason I always feel better about a treat when I am running 50-60KM a week……..

No running=No crap eating!

Sporting Life 10K Race re-cap

Yesterday (Sunday May 10) was the Sporting Life 10K

I know! It seams like we have been talking (shit) about this race forever!! I mentioned that my big mouth had gotten me into a bit of a situation with this run. I seam to have put myself out their with some pretty big projections about beating a couple of my co-workers that were running as well! It was all in good fun overall I didn’t really care where I finished as long as I wasn’t completely left behind!

3 Sleeps until Sporting Life Run!

That means only 3 sleeps till the Sporting Life 10K run! There are 6 of us from work running so hopefully the weather doesn’t stays nice! Today is going to be 23C(73F) and tomorrow will be 29C(84F)!!!!!!!

Runners Logic: I’m Tired……I Think I’ll Go For A Run

After work today I was exhausted! Even though I only worked 6-2 I was just beyond tired, but I had already planned on doing a 10k when I got home.

I changed out of my uniform at work and into my running clothes so that I didn’t even have to go into the house except to drop off my bag. Because if I sat down even for a minute that run wasn’t happening!

Monday can bite me…..and race results

The results from yesterdays race were posted last night. According to the official stats I finished at 53:14 with a pace of 5:20 per km or 8:34 per mile. I finished 9 out of 28 in my age group and 58 out of 183 overall. Not many people ran the 10k compared to the 5k, which had 1500 runners.

We have our next 10k on May 10th. It is a easier course so I am hoping to hit 50-51 minutes……
